As part of Starbucks Workers United’s fight for better working conditions, the union campaigned for the company’s board members to stop Starbucks from union-busting and breaking labor laws. When Mellody Hobson(Board Chair), Andrew Campion(Nike), Beth Ford(Land O’Lakes), Satya Nadella(Microsoft), and Jørgen Vig Knudstorp(LEGOS) made public appearances in 2023, union members were there calling on them to stand with workers. Handouts designed to mimic the style of the speaking engagements were distributed to attendees, encouraging them to challenge the board members to support the union.
