“I’m not a scientist.”

When World Bank President David Malpass came out on the global stage as a climate denier, Glasgow Actions was the only organization on the ground, capitalizing on the gaffe to build pressure for climate action and Malpass’s ouster. Within 24 hours of Malpass’s statement, Glasgow Actions was at the World Bank in Washington, DC creating images for media outlets around the world to use in stories of the controversy.

The rapid response work was featured in the New York Times, Financial Times, Washington Post, France 24, Axios, Bloomberg, CBC, NPR, and dozens of other key outlets from Latin America to Europe.

David Malpass resigned from his post within the year from the pressure of creative action, earned media, and direct communication with World Bank employees.
